❌ Ingredients That Offer Little or No True Skin Benefit (or May Cause Issues)
•Water (Aqua): Common filler. It’s not harmful, but it dilutes the formula and often requires preservatives and emulsifiers.
•Butylene Glycol / Propylene Glycol / Dipropylene Glycol: Petroleum-derived solvents and humectants. Widely used, but not necessary for skin health and can cause irritation in some.
•PEG-100 Stearate: A synthetic emulsifier. Offers no direct benefit to the skin and can be contaminated with ethylene oxide or 1,4-dioxane (known irritants).
•Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer: A thickener/stabilizer—purely functional.
•Carbomer: Another synthetic thickener. Not harmful in small amounts but offers no skin benefit.
•Triethanolamine: Used to balance pH; can be irritating and is flagged in clean skincare.
•Disodium EDTA: A chelating agent—helps with product stability, not skin health.
•Fragrance: Major red flag for sensitive or reactive skin. Can cause irritation or allergic reactions.
•FD&C Yellow No. 5 / Yellow No. 6: Artificial colorants—completely unnecessary for skincare and offer zero benefit.
•Polysorbate 60 / Sorbitan Isostearate: Emulsifiers/stabilizers. Again, not harmful in small amounts, but no skin benefit and not clean.
•Cetearyl Alcohol: A fatty alcohol that’s generally well tolerated, but only emollient in function.
•Glycerin: A basic humectant. Not harmful and technically beneficial, but far less effective than richer, natural lipids.
•Isononyl Isononanoate / Ethylhexyl Palmitate: Lightweight emollients. Often used in “cosmetic feel” creams but not nourishing long-term.
•Hydroxyacetophenone: A synthetic antioxidant and preservative—not harmful, but not deeply beneficial either.
•Sodium Chloride (Salt): Used to adjust thickness. Offers nothing to skin health.

How and Why?

Today, an alarming number of products you see online are created with marketing as the main focus. It’s all about the numbers—the product is just a means to generate them. Fillers and stabilizers for shelf life? They’re cheaper, and China is ready to crank them out and ship them. The creators never even have to touch the so-called miracle potion.

TRUE Barrier for Men

Get it? Sometimes a name is more than just a name. We felt like it was all just bullshit—so we decided to do something about it. We don’t sell in 6-packs. We’re convinced that when you buy a jar, you’ll come back for another.  After about six months. This stuff isn’t watered down.
